The Secret Within folds inward around a concentrated, almost visceral gesture. Wheel-thrown in Mediterranean terracotta and altered by hand while the clay remains plastic, the sculpture gathers around a concealed cavity that becomes the true centre of the work.
Rather than expanding outward, the form concentrates its energy within. Its folds and openings create a tension between protection and exposure, as though the material were enclosing something that remains present without ever being fully revealed.
A custom-developed coral glaze envelops the sculpture in a luminous, almost organic skin. Light moves across the surface and gradually enters the inner cavity, intensifying the contrast between exterior and interior, what is visible and what remains hidden.
Its reduced scale gives the work an intimate presence. The Secret Within rewards close observation, transforming clay, gesture and emptiness into a meditation on containment, interiority and latent energy.
