Attunement explores the physical gesture of attention. Wheel-thrown in Mediterranean terracotta and altered by hand while the clay remains plastic, the sculpture rises through a gentle curve, inclining toward an unseen space as if responding to something beyond its own form.
There is neither advance nor withdrawal in this movement. Instead, the volume holds a state of quiet receptiveness: balanced between ascent and stillness, movement and pause. The original geometry of the wheel remains perceptible beneath the hand-modelled deformation, preserving the dialogue between rotation, touch and material.
A custom-developed glaze in blue and coral follows the curvature of the sculpture, shifting subtly as light moves across its surface. The colour becomes inseparable from the form, accentuating its fluidity and lending the piece an almost aquatic presence.
In Attunement, gesture is reduced to its essential expression. The sculpture does not describe the act of listening; it embodies a state of awareness—a quiet, concentrated presence that establishes a subtle relationship with the space around it.
